Why I built this

Last year I started a postgrad program — lots of scientific papers, small fonts, two-column layouts. I read everything on my Kindle, but these PDFs are impossible on it. The abstract is one big centered block, then immediately two narrow columns. Zoom in and you have to scroll sideways. Zoom out and you can't read anything.

So I built this mini tool. Upload a PDF, draw rectangles around the parts you want — the abstract, a figure, a column of text — and export them as a clean, readable PDF. Each crop becomes its own page, so you can size it to your ebook's size.

It's simple by design, and I'm adding more features. Got ideas? Let me know.
